Today I bring you Tacos de Camarón, Lima y Tequila con Aguacate Salsa
(Tequila Lime Shrimp Tacos with an Avocado Salsa.)
I was going to go a different route initially but decided that since they were giving us ingredients due to a specific holiday I’ll stay with that holiday for my cooking.
I’ve divided this recipe into three sections for easy reading.

- 1 Avocado
- Juice from ½ lime
- 3 Tomatillos
- 1 Jalapeño
- ¼ White Onion
- Handful of Cilantro
Chop 1 Tomatillo, the onion, and the cilantro and put in a small mixing bowl. Mince the Jalapeño & cut the avocado into cubes and add to the bowl. Pop 2 Tomatillos and the lime juice into a food processor and puree. Add to the mixing bowl and mix everything together with a spoon careful not to mash the avocado or you end up with a really soupy guacamole. Set in the fridge to chill and that’s it.

Everyone here I am going to assume is sanitary, you wash your hands after using the restroom and rinse your hands off before going into the restroom. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not just rinse your hands before grabbing your junk to pee after cutting those jalapeños IT BURNS! Scrub those hands thoroughly. Learn from my Mistake!

Part 2 El Shrimp
- 1lb Shrimp
- 1 Shot of Tequila
- Salt
- Juice from ½ lime
Devein and shell the shrimp, toss in a bowl with everything else and mix. Set aside in the fridge while you assemble other things.

Part 3 El Taco
- El Salsa
- El Shrimp
- Lettuce
- Red Cabbage
- Tomato
- Tortillas
A note on the tortillas, I made mine fresh using Lazysumo’s recipe which I had a dozen done in a little under what he claims he can do them in. You can of course use store bought … but they will not be nearly as good.
Warm the tortillas (or cook them) and grill the shrimp. Small Fajita size tortillas work great with 5 shrimp each, a generous helping of Avocado salsa, cabbage, lettuce, & Tomatoes. That’s all there is to it.
