After making this for dinner I was told "This is the best salmon I have ever had." I didn't think to ask at the time how much salmon they have had in the past. It's very easy to grill salmon and it gives it such a wonderful flavor.
"The Best Grilled Salmon Someone has ever had"
That's a catchy title there!
Your Ingredients:
- 1 Full Salmon Fillet
- 4 Pinches of Rosemary
- Salt & Pepper
- Olive Oil
Directions:
Prep: Turn on (gas) or start (charcoal) your grill.
- Cut off the last 4 - 5 inches of the tail side of the fish and cut yourself 4 equal fillets. In order for everything to be ready at the same time you need your serving sizes to be the same thickness.
- Place the fish skin side up and lightly coat with oil.
- Place the fillets skin side down using the indirect heat method and turn your grill to medium (gas) or put the lid on and close your air restrictors down 2/3 of the way closed (charcoal) Sprinkle salt, pepper, & rosemary on the salmon.
- Wait 3 minutes then spray or brush on some olive oil to the top side of your fillets and then flip them over to a direct heat source. Grab a corner of the skin and you can pull them right off the fish. Then close the lid.
- Wait another 3 minutes and then flip them again. Close the lid and wait 2 more minutes then take them off the grill.
That's all there is to it. I like my salmon cooked medium with a tiny bit of pink in the center. If you like yours well done add a minute to the first flip and a minute to the second flip.
