Nommie Nominations for Feb!

Postby LazySumo » Sat Jan 23, 2010 5:29 pm

Here it is folks, this is the thread to post up blog entries that you think are worthy of an illustrious Nommy. Rules are simple and are posted here. NOMINATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY FEBRUARY FIFTH!

My first Nommy Nomination will be Blackened Prime Rib from ChiliCheeseFries.net. Love this post and this site overall. The bold typography, beautiful photography and great writing. What's not to love??

Remember, this is only the first phase where nominations are open, hell you can even nominate yourself if you want to. Read the rules for who/what to nominate and let's get it on!

Crock Pot Pulled Chicken from Crepes of Wrath

Points for the pictures, the hominess of the recipe and especially the blog name. Yes, we can be swayed by cleverness!

Third Nommy submission and we all knew that Serious Eats would be up here sooner or later, right? How about 48 hours of testing chili recipes? Yah, that gets a nod... at the very least as a salute from one warrior to another! The Best Chili Ever.

Our fourth and final submission for the night is from Love and Olive Oil (great name!) and their submission of Cupcake Tips and Tricks, and I gotta say, this post is a cupcake bible! Very well done ladies!

Was quite surprised to find out that when I went to follow them on Twitter that I already was!

OK, I lied... and I'm gonna post one more tonight. To be completely honest I love surfing food blogs. I love seeing how other people do it and learning from them.

So here we are... and I'm submitting Evil Shenanigan's post for Southern Banana Pudding. You yanks take notice and learn from the master here. This is how we do it down south. Bravo, ma'am! Bravo.

Stumbled into another contender today while sitting home waiting out the #snowpocalypse in the warmth of my computer room.

Kate, over at Kate in the Kitchen has a beautfully setup site with a great idea for Shirred Eggs that utilizes potato skins as rammekins! Awesome idea and some great imagery of the resultant delicacy. Inspirational Eggs, get some here!

Alright I was SUPPOSED to do half the nominations but due to the fact that Sumo went crazy there and did it himself I have just one Entry. I'm going to go with someone who we've known for a little bit now and who I have ALWAYS enjoyed reading her blog. Bake Off Flunkie In this case her recent Swiss and Caramelized Onion Tarts. So good, So well done, Awesome photography like usual.
